Other sportsbooks are coming, too. Betr plans to launch in late March or April. Fanatics Sportsbook and Bally Bet expect to launch in May. And Betway will go live in January 2024.

But the above-mentioned six apps are currently live in Massachusetts and accepting sports wagers. And they’re offering a wide range of special deals and promos to celebrate their MA launch.

It’s always a good idea to claim sign-up bonuses to maximize your betting experience. So click our list and see all the welcome bonuses MA online sportsbook apps are offering right now.

Why this day is historic for Massachusetts

This online sports betting launch is seven years in the making.

Massachusetts began inching toward legalized sports betting in 2016, when state lawmakers regulated daily fantasy sports. Then the US Supreme Court repealed the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act, or PASPA, in 2018. That opened the door for states to legalize sports betting within their borders.

Several MA lawmakers introduced sports betting bills in 2019 and 2021, but all attempts failed.

Then, in 2022, the Massachusetts House and Senate each passed their versions of sports betting bills. And, in the final moments of the legislative session, they reached a compromise and presented a unified bill to Gov. Charlie Baker.

Baker signed the bill on Aug. 10, 2022.

After that, the Massachusetts Gaming Commission began the arduous regulatory process. To its credit, it got retail sports betting launched by the Super Bowl, and it got online sports betting launched in time for March Madness betting.

Welcome offers and bonus deals from Massachusetts sportsbooks

As mentioned earlier, six sports betting apps are now live and available to download in Massachusetts. That number will grow to 10 by January 2024. Current state law allows for up to 15 online licenses, so newer names could still enter the market.

Massachusetts bettors can already take advantage of lucrative sign-up promos from the six apps currently live. You’ll never get a better bonus than a welcome bonus, so it’s smart to kick off your sports betting with the sportsbook’s bonus bet credits.

And, if you choose to do so, claiming multiple welcome offers can really add up to a lot of bonus bets.

If you choose to claim all five bonuses listed here, that could add up to $4,050 in deals.

Or, you could always mix and match deals based on what fits your needs and wants the most. Have fun with it. Like we said, you’ll never get as many great deals as this all at once again.
