8 best sportsbook app features in Massachusetts, from play-ma.com

As many sports bettors know, there are plenty of similarities and differences between each online betting platform. Some features stand out more than others.

Online sports betting in Massachusetts became officially legalized on March 10, and six online betting apps are now live.

I downloaded several Massachusetts sports betting apps and noted some of my favorite features after using them for two weeks. Here’s my top eight.

1. Same Game Parlay at FanDuel Sportsbook

FanDuel Massachusetts offers a very simple and user-friendly way to combine bets into Same Game Parlays. Bettors can combine the moneyline, total or spread with player props to get the best odds based on confidence in each bet.

To make it even better, live betting is easy at FanDuel and the SGP feature allows you to combine different kinds of prop bets during the action.

FanDuel also offers a wide range of choices on player props when building a parlay, so you can get a number with higher probability at the expense of the overall odds of the parlay.

2. Odds boosts at BetMGM Sportsbook

On the day of games, BetMGM Massachusetts is one of the leaders in offering odds boosts to make bets even more appealing.

For example, these odds boosts can double the odds from +100 to +200  on player props or game props. I noticed that the boosts are available much more often at MGM than other sportsbooks. In addition, the odds are very appealing.

3. Live player props at DraftKings Sportsbook

The live betting display at DraftKings Massachusetts is superior compared to other sportsbooks. Not only does the app give you frequent updates on totals and spreads during games, but it also offers frequent updates to player props.

This is particularly appealing when betting on the NBA, as you can see a player’s odds and totals change for points, rebounds or assists while the game is taking place.

4. Early cash out at WynnBET Sportsbook

Don’t like how a game is unfolding down the stretch? Perhaps you’re concerned that a star player just fouled out or a running back tweaked his ankle, and you want to quit while you’re ahead. WynnBET may have what you are looking for.

WynnBET Massachusetts offers a user-friendly way to cash out on a bet that is in play at reduced odds. For those who are watching the sporting event unfold, it can be a great way to adjust to an impactful trend or injury.

5. Parlay boost at Caesars Sportsbook

Parlays naturally boost the odds on a combination of bets, but Caesars Massachusetts offers an extra boost that users may enjoy. The Caesars parlay boost can make it easier to find bets with high probabilities.

For example, if you take a couple of bets with -200 odds and throw them together in a three-leg parlay, Caesars will give you a boost on the odds of those combined bets.

6. Quick Pick 6 at Barstool Sportsbook

On the rail of the main menu of the Barstool Massachusetts online app, bettors can find the Quick Pick 6 tab. This feature gives suggestions on how to build a winning parlay.

While a six-leg parlay is tough to hit, oddsmakers can queue users toward bets with the highest probability by offering odds at -200 or shorter. Then, bettors can try to piece together their favorite bets for a potentially large total payout.

7. Bet Insurance at DraftKings Sportsbook

If you do take a parlay with five or six legs, it can be a great idea to use the Bet Insurance feature at DraftKings MA. The book will often offer bettors the opportunity to place a five-leg parlay, and get a refund of up to $25 if all the legs hit except for one.

Sometimes this comes back in the form of cash-back insurance, and sometimes it’s refunded in the form of site credit.

8. Daily fantasy sports at FanDuel Sportsbook

FanDuel is the easiest app when it comes to transitioning between sports betting and daily fantasy sports (DFS) platforms.

Those who already have a DFS account at FanDuel can use the same funds for those contests and for sports betting. This makes it easier to make deposits and withdrawals, and the general navigation of the app is easier as well.
