The estimated jackpot for the Massachusetts Lottery’s Megabucks Doubler draw game is at a record high.

The estimated jackpot for the Wednesday, Aug. 24, drawing is $15.3 million after nobody matched all six numbers in the Saturday, Aug. 20, drawing. The estimated cash option value is $11.46 million. One player matched five numbers in Wednesday’s drawing.

The state lottery draw game dates back to April 2009 and is drawn every Wednesday and Saturday.

Five highest Megabucks Doubler jackpots

Nobody has matched all six numbers in Megabucks Doubler since March 20, 2021, when a jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Fairhaven. The previous record jackpot of $13.82 million was won March 10, 2012, by a player who bought a ticket in Wakefield.

How to play Megabucks Doubler

Players must choose six numbers from 1 to 49 and match all six drawn numbers to win the jackpot. Players can select their own numbers or choose the Quick Pic option for a series of random numbers.

Megabucks Doubler tickets cost $1 and can be purchased at any Massachusetts Lottery retailer. Season tickets for the state lottery game also can be purchased on the Lottery’s website.

The odds of hitting the jackpot are 1-in-13,983,816. Prizes also are available for players matching five of six numbers ($2,500), four of six numbers ($100) and three of six numbers ($2).

Megabucks Doubler drawings are at 9 p.m. every Wednesday and Saturday. Players can watch drawings on the lottery’s YouTube page.
