Megabucks Doubler Jackpot Nears Massachusetts Lottery Record

The Massachusetts Lottery’s Megabucks Doubler draw game jackpot is approaching a record high.

The estimated jackpot for Wednesday night’s drawing is $13 million after nobody matched all six numbers in Saturday night’s drawing. The estimated cash option value is $9.74 million.

Nobody has matched all six numbers in Megabucks Doubler since March 20, 2021. That jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Fairhaven. The record jackpot of $13.82 million was won March 10, 2012. The winning ticket was sold in Wakefield.

On top of the Megabucks Doubler’s rising jackpot, national draw games Mega Millions and Powerball have jackpots exceeding $300 million.

How to play Megabucks Doubler

Players must choose six numbers from 1 to 49 and match all six drawn numbers to win the jackpot. Players can select their own numbers or choose the Quick Pic option for a series of random numbers.

Megabucks Doubler tickets cost $1 and can be purchased at any Massachusetts Lottery retailer. Season tickets for the state lottery game also can be purchased on the Lottery’s website.

The odds of hitting the jackpot are 1-in-13,983,816. Prizes also are available for players matching five of six numbers ($2,500), four of six numbers ($100) and three of six numbers ($2).

Wednesday’s drawing is at 9 p.m. after the Lottery recently changed its draw times. Megabucks Doubler is drawn every Wednesday and Saturday.

Mega Millions jackpot

The estimated jackpot for Tuesday night’s multi-state Mega Millions drawing is $333 million. The estimated cash value is $185.6 million. Tuesday night’s drawing is at 11 p.m.

Tuesday’s estimated jackpot is the largest since a California player won $421 million Jan. 28.

Players must select five numbers from 1 through 70 and a sixth number — the gold Mega Ball — from a separate list of 1 through 25. You must match all five numbers and the Mega Ball to win the jackpot.

Mega Millions tickets cost $2. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1-in-302,575,350. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday.

Powerball jackpot

Wednesday night’s multi-state Powerball drawing jackpot is an estimated $365 million after nobody hit the jackpot in Monday night’s drawing. The estimated cash value is $207.5 million. Wednesday night’s drawing is at 10:59 p.m.

Players must select five numbers from 1 through 69 and a sixth number — a red Powerball — from a separate list of 1 through 26. You must match all five numbers and the Powerball to win the jackpot.

Powerball tickets cost $2. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1-in-292,201,338. Powerball drawings occur every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

Wednesday night’s estimated jackpot is the largest since an Arizona player won $473.1 million April 27.
