Massachusetts bettors can now access FanDuel Sportsbook and FanDuel Racing in the same app.

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission voted unanimously Thursday to allow FanDuel to add the option to toggle to its horse betting platform, FanDuel Racing, within its FanDuel Sportsbook app in Massachusetts.

FanDuel Racing has been legal and operating in partnership with Suffolk Downs for several years. Thursday’s decision simply allows FanDuel Massachusetts to add access points to its horse betting platform within its sports betting platform.

No extra login needed for FanDuel Racing

Bettors will still have the option to download and use a standalone FanDuel Racing app in Massachusetts.

But if they log into their FanDuel Sportsbook account, they’ll be able to switch over to FanDuel Racing without an extra login.

Users will be notified they are moving to a separate product operated by a separate license-holder when switching from the sportsbook to the Massachusetts horse betting platform. Users who are accessing FanDuel Racing for the first time will also be prompted to agree to advance deposit wagering terms and conditions before beginning to bet on horse races.

Also important to note: There will be parameters in place to prevent horse bettors younger than 21 years old from accessing FanDuel Sportsbook while placing parimutuel wagers on FanDuel Racing. The legal age for horse betting in Massachusetts is 18, but the legal age for sports betting is 21.

Currently, 11 states allow its FanDuel users to toggle between the sportsbook and horse race betting platforms.

DK Horse now live in Massachusetts

DK Horse received approval last week from the MGC to operate in Massachusetts in partnership with Suffolk Downs.

It is now live in Massachusetts and 11 other states. DK Horse is the new horse betting app from DraftKings. It’s a separate entity from DraftKings’ sports betting and daily fantasy sports products.
