Joey Levy, the CEO of Betr, recently tweeted that he anticipates the sportsbook to be the seventh operator to launch in Massachusetts. He mentioned that the April go-live date remains unchanged, although he did not provide a specific date.

Only six out of the 10 licensed operators were prepared for launch when Massachusetts online sports betting became operational on March 10th, last Friday.

Although it may appear disadvantageous for a smaller, recently established sportsbook to miss out on launching in a significant market, Betr’s distinct betting approach coupled with Paul’s extensive fan base positions the sportsbook favorably to excel in all markets.

Fanatics, as a dominant player in the sports apparel industry, holds a strong appeal among sports fans. With the introduction of Fanatics sportsbook, they pose a significant challenge to the relatively unstable market for operating sportsbooks.

Currently, Fanatics is scheduled to launch in May 2023. However, it is important to determine soon whether it will be able to adhere to that date.

The sportsbook is currently operational in several states and has ambitions to expand its presence to 15-20 states by Q3. Given these plans, it is hard to envision any additional postponements.

Bally Bet

Having launched in 2021, Bally Bet is a relatively new player in the sports betting market.

The sportsbook should have sufficient time to figure things out, thanks to the support it receives in other states, and is expected to launch in May 2023.

Betway

According to company officials, Betway is anticipated to be launched in January 2024, making it the final but significant event in the timeline.

The parent company of Digital Gaming Corp, the sportsbook, was recently acquired by Super Group. This acquisition took place after the sportsbook had already obtained its operating license from the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC). With the completion of the purchase, the new ownership group is now required to go through the submission process again.

The MGC is making efforts to accommodate the process, but it will require some additional time to finalize all the details and complete the process.
