Since MGM Springfield has started providing Massachusetts sports betting, it is experiencing a surge in new customers.

On January 31, the opening day event was graced by the presence of esteemed individuals such as Ray Bourque, a renowned Boston Bruins legend, Domenic Sarno, the Mayor of Springfield, and two influential politicians, State Representative Carlos González and State Senator Adam Gomez, who have been ardent supporters of sports betting legislation.

An MGM Springfield spokesperson expressed their enthusiasm in inviting new guests to explore MGM Springfield. They hope that visitors will join in the excitement of betting or cheering for their favorite New England team and then take the time to indulge in the various amenities offered throughout the property.

In December, MGM Springfield became the second among the three Massachusetts casinos to obtain authorization for a retail sports betting license.

MGM Springfield Sports Betting Facilities

Customers have multiple choices within the casino when placing bets.

The casino boasts top-notch sports betting amenities reminiscent of Las Vegas, featuring two cutting-edge lounges and a dedicated wagering section within its TAP Sports Bar.

The biggest lounge offers comfortable theater-style seats, a fully stocked bar, and a row of 40 high-definition TV monitors. In addition, customers have access to 18 sports betting kiosks and eight point-of-sale terminals. It is worth mentioning that all the machines in the casino have successfully passed inspection by Gaming Laboratories International, the state-approved vendor responsible for testing the equipment this month.

There is a wide range of options available for customers looking to take a break from sports betting. They can choose from over 1,500 slot machines, 100 table games, a poker room, Massachusetts Lottery Keno, a bowling alley, a movie theater, and various dining establishments.

Commonwealth residents were informed by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission about the various sports wagers on offer.

The spokesperson for MGM Springfield stated that sports betting in Massachusetts will not only enable residents to bet on football, basketball, and other sports but also contribute to keeping more money within the state. Additionally, it will serve as a crucial source of revenue and create job opportunities for the local community. The inclusion of sports betting at MGM Springfield will further solidify its status as the leading entertainment and gaming destination in New England.

BetMGM, the casino’s mobile betting partner, is expected to bring in additional revenue when mobile sports betting launches in Massachusetts in March.
